James Humphreys (pornographer)

English business and criminal who ran a chain of adult book shops and strip clubs in London. He was able to operate his business by bribing serving police officers.

Moors murders

Murders carried out by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley between July 1963 and October 1965, in and around what is now Greater Manchester, England. The victims were five children aged between 10 and 17 – Pauline Reade, John Kilbride, Keith Bennett, Lesley Ann Downey and Edward Evans – at least four of whom were sexually assaulted.

Catherine Hayes

Burke and Hare murders

Series of 16 killings committed over a period of about ten months in 1828 in Edinburgh, Scotland. They were undertaken by William Burke and William Hare, who sold the corpses to Robert Knox for dissection at his anatomy lectures.
