Donnington Hospital, in Shaw cum Donnington, Berkshire is one of a group of almshouses managed by The Hartley Trust, formerly known as the Donnington Hospital Trust.[1] The Grade II* listedStructure of particular architectural and/or historic interest deserving of special protection. almshouseCharitable foundation established to provide for the poor. was built in 1602, and restored in 1822.[2]
The one-storey building is constructed of brick, with a tiled roof, and is built around a central courtyard. The dormers in the attic were added in the 20th century.[2]
Donnington Hospital provides ten residences for single men.[1]
