The Emery GT, introduced in 1963, was the first kit car to be based on the Rootes Group’s Hillman Imp, also launched in the UK that year. The Emery’s glassfibre fixed-head coupé body was attached to a steel spaceframe chassis.[1]

The Imp engine was fitted at the rear, but a Ford engine was optional.[2]
