Skyhooks is a pair of 18-metre (59 ft) high statues created by the English artist Brian Fell,[1] erected at the northern entrance to the Trafford ParkFirst planned industrial estate in the world, and still the largest in Europe. industrial estate in 1995 to mark the area’s regeneration.[2] They were intended as a reference to the common practical joke of sending new apprentices in factories or workplaces to ask for impossible items such as tartan paint, or sky hooks.[1]

The statues were removed and put into storage in 2019 to allow further redevelopment in the area to take place, and were restored to their present locations two years later.[2]
