Dun Hallin is an Iron Age broch
Iron Age dry stone circular tower found widely across the Western Isles and adjacent areas of the Scottish mainland. and Scheduled Monument on the Isle of Skye, in Scotland, just east of the settlement of Hallin;[1] dùn is a Scottish and Irish Gaelic word for a small fortress, or fortified dwelling place.[2]
The broch has an internal diameter of 11 metres (36 ft), with walls up to 3 metres (10 ft) wide and 3.8 metres (12.5 ft) high on the north and west sides. It occupies the southeastern end of a rocky plateau, around the edge of which are traces of a wall. The entrance on the southeast side is in a ruined state.[1]
