Old Bodney Camp is a 32.8-hectare (81.1 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Little Cressingham in Norfolk, England,[1] part of the Breckland Special Protection Area.[2]
The site is part of a former RAF airfield, opened in 1940 and closed in 1945.[3] It consists of an area of heathland dominated by grass and lichen/moss, maintained by rabbit grazing. Old Bodney Camp supports two nationally rare species of moth, Noctua orbona and Scopula rubiginata, which are almost confined to the Breckland region.[1]
