Tabley is a civil parishSmallest administrative unit in England. in the borough of Cheshire East, part of the ceremonial countyArea with an appointed Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff to represent the monarch's interest. of Cheshire. It consists of two districts, Tabley Superior and Tabley Inferior,[1] also known as Nether Tabley.[2] As at the 2021 census the population of Tabley Superior was 368,[3] and that of Tabley Inferior 139.[4]

The name derives from the the Old English Tæbba and lēah, meaning “Tæbba’s clearing”.[5]
