All-Story Magazine (UK)

The Holborn Monthly Magazine was a short-lived women’s periodical first published in April 1903, priced at four pence;[a]Equivalent to £2.12 at 2022, calculated using the retail price index.[1] only thirteen issues were produced, the last in April 1904.[2]

The magazine was launched into what was becoming an increasingly crowded market for women’s magazines. Its unique selling point was that it was designed to be syndicated as an accompaniment to local newspapers, with the magazine retitled accordingly, as with The Evesham Monthly Magazine, on sale with The Evesham Journal.[b]Then known as The Evesham Journal and Four Shires Advertiser.[3] To make such syndication easier, the contents page was simply titled “Our Magazine”.[2]
